Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

When we installed a full interior perimeter waterproofing system for this old foundation in Cincinnati, OH, we also wrapped all of the walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier is the perfect solution for moisture control in older homes with uneven stone foundations. CleanSpace is a reinforced polyethylene liner infused with UltraFresh antimicrobial to resist mold and bacteria growth. It also completely transforms the look of an older basement. The smell, feel, and look of this home was completely transformed for the better with this waterproofing system.

We wrapped the entire perimeter of the basement with our WaterGuard subfloor drains, and we installed our most secure sump pump system - the TripleSafe (not pictured). The product that really transformed the look and feel of this basement though, was our CleanSpace vapor barrier wall system. This product immediately changed the look and smell in the basement, and it serves a functional purpose as well. The vapor barrier was tucked into our subfloor drainage system so that the vapor barrier can channel wall seepage moisture down into the drainage system beneath the floor. The homeowner was very happy with the outcome of the entire project, especially the new walls.  

This basement in West Chester, OH, was struggling to keep moisture out of the space. The existing sump pump was very inconsistent, and when it wasn't working, the basement would leak when it was raining outside. On top of the inconsistent sump pump, there were clogged spots in the exterior drainage system that left parts of the basement wet year round. We replaced their exterior system with our interior drainage system. Our WaterGuard drains were wrapped around the perimeter of the basement, right underneath the floor. We then installed our SuperSump sump pump with a battery backup system in the lowest graded part of the basement floor slab. Lastly, we wrapped the walls with our BrightWall wall paneling system to help channel moisture from the leaky walls down into our subfloor drainage system. The BrightWall panels also transformed the look of the basement.

This basement was falling apart before we stepped in. Persistent leaks left behind stains and rusted appliances, while hydrostatic pressure pushed against the foundation, causing the walls to bow and crack. Moisture crept into the wooden floor joists, leading to damage and musty odors. Now, this basement is dry, stable, and built to last thanks to:
