Using PolyLEVEL, an expansive polyurethane foam we lift and level sunken concrete slabs. The foam expands beneath the surface of the concrete lifting the sunken concrete slab. The foam cures over the course of a day leaving a powerful and lightweight foundation beneath the slab. PolyLEVEL is the preferred method over traditional forma of mudjacking or slab jacking.
This basement in Warsaw, KY, had a leaky stairwell, so we waterproofed it for the homeowner. We installed a drainage system in the stairwell with a trench drain (not pictured) and then hooked the drainage system up to a TripleSafe sump pump system. The sump pump will then discharge the water far and away from the foundation through a discharge line. The discharge line features our white IceGuard outlets at the base of the home, which will allow water to overflow from the line if it were ever to freeze underground in the winter. The end of the line features our green popup outlet, which hides well in their yard. This homeowner no longer has to worry about water rushing in down their stairwell and into their basement.
This home had an exterior waterproofing system with drain tiles placed around the footers of the foundation. These drains eventually failed from clogging. Their basement eventually became wet from the improper existing system. We explained to this homeowner that we see this happen with a lot of basements, and that our interior perimeter system has more benefits. For one, it's a lot less of a hassle to install. If this customer wanted to try and fix their existing system, they would have to dig all the way to their footers from the outside, destroying their yard. With our system, we only have to dig a trench along their basement walls, and then cover them back up with concrete. In some cases, drywall may need to be cut a couple feet up from the wall, as seen here. All things considered, it's still less intrusive than digging down to your footers and it's a less expensive procedure and will last longer. And If our system ever does clog, which is extremely rare, it is a lot easier to unclog thanks to our service ports that stick out of the basement floor. The homeowner agreed with our design, and signed a contract for us to install our system. We were in and out of there in a couple days and now the customer won't have to worry about water intrusions to their basement.
