In Yellow Springs, Ohio, a failed exterior waterproofing system left this homeowner's basement in need of serious attention. Our team at The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati expertly resolved the issue with an interior waterproofing system. As you can see in the after photo, we installed a SuperSump Plus sump pump and BrightWall panels to ensure effective drainage and protection. The reliable SuperSump Plus efficiently redirects water and prevents flooding, while the BrightWall panels keep the space bright and clean, serving as a vapor barrier that channel moisture safely outside.
This homeowner had stained walls and floors from water intrusions in their basement. They called us to fix the problem, so we drew up a solution. We planned for a full perimeter WaterGuard drain system, hooked up to a SuperSump Plus sump pump. We also installed BrightWall panels to help cover up those stains.
One side of this basement was leaking water any time it rained, so this homeowner called us for help. We told them we could waterproof just the one problematic side for now, and if they needed more work done in the future, we could come back out and extend the system. Often times, we find that if you only waterproof one side of the basement, the water will work its way around and eventually begin to build up outside the wall of where there is no waterproofing system. This is because water pressure builds up around the foundation evenly, and a partial system does not relieve this pressure, meaning cracks and leaks can still form in untreated sections. This homeowner does not care if the basement leaks on the untreated sides because their basement isn't finished, and they know they could have us back out in a jiffy to complete the system once/if that day comes.
This basement in Lynchburg, OH, had a problematic wall that would constantly leak at the coves every time it rained. We installed our minimally invasive interior perimeter waterproofing system to stop the leaks. Including in this system are our subfloor WaterGuard drains and our SuperSump sump pump.
A Russellville, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement. We recommended a WaterGuard basement waterproofing system and a SuperSump sump pump to be installed. WaterGuard is an interior under the floor drainage system, which is installed around the perimeter of the foundation walls to intercept water that seeps into the basement. The water will then be drained into the SuperSump sump pump System. The SuperSump has a 1/3HP cast iron pump that can pump 2,650 gallons of water an hour at an eight foot head. The WaterWatch alarm sounds if the water reaches too high and the pump hasn't yet turned on. This will alert the homeowner that there is a problem with the system. The SuperLiner sump liner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that will not crack or cave in, and has 96 holes to allow water to flow in from below the floor. It also features a "pump ring" that centers the pump in the liner to prevent the switch from hanging up on the sidewalls. It also has an airtight lid that will keep water moisture from seeping back into the basement. The lid is also so strong you can stand on it. With the WaterGuard intercepting the water and the sump pumping it out of the basement, this homeowner will be able to use the basement without worrying about water intrusion.
