This homeowner called us because noticed musty odors in their basement shortly after purchasing their home. They suspected that they were going to need a new waterproofing system since they wanted to finish their basement as well. We told them that it would be wise to install a waterproofing system, and that we could finish their basement for them with all of our moisture resistant products if they wanted us to. They really liked how all of our products worked together, so they decided they wanted us to finish it for them after waterproofing their basement. After waterproofing with our interior perimeter subfloor drainage system and our TripleSafe sump pump system, we then began on finishing. We started by removing all the furring strips, and then installing our Basement to Beautiful insulation panels. These insulation panels are waterproof and will help drain water to the subfloor drains as well. These panels will also help the homeowners save lots of money on energy bills. We then installed our Everlast wall panels over the insulation panels to give the walls a finished look. Everlast walls are waterproof as well, and are easily washable. We then installed the new floors with our ThermalDry Elite Plank flooring system. These planks look like well refined wood, but are made of inorganic material instead making them waterproof. They also have pegs that raise them off the concrete floor, providing better insulation and a path for water to drain through. We finally added some trim, did some electrical work, and installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to top it all off.
These pictures display a leaky office area in the basement of a home in Anderson, OH. On top of installing a full perimeter waterproofing system in the basement, we also added our BrightWall wall panels to cover the stained block walls. Not only do the panels make the basement look better, they also help contain musty smells and help drain moisture down to the subfloor drainage system we installed.
This basement was in rough shape before we got to work. Constant leaks left stains and rusted appliances, while hydrostatic pressure caused the foundation walls to bow and crack. Moisture weakened the wooden floor joists and created musty odors throughout the space. Now, it's dry, secure, and built to last!
This semi-finished basement in Anderson, OH, was leaking water through the block foundation. Because block foundations are liable to leak higher up in the wall, we also installed our BrightWall system to help contain the leaks coming from the walls. We also installed our full interior perimeter subfloor drainage system with our WaterGuard drains, and we installed our SuperSump Plus sump pump system that comes with an UltraSump battery backup pump. The battery backup system will kick on in the event of a power outage. Power outages coincide with heavy rain storms, so having a battery backup system is quite valuable.
