We replaced a sump pump for a homeowner in Independence, KY, who was frustrated with their old system. Their previous pump was constantly running and highly inefficient, and to make matters worse, the company that installed it had recently gone out of business, leaving them without service or support. When they chose us to handle the replacement, their biggest concern was finding a contractor they could count on long-term—not one that would leave them stranded like before.
This homeowner in Lewisburg, OH, wanted their sump pump replaced, as it was not performing to the expectations of the homeowner. It's open pit was allowing moisture to seep back into the basement, and it was constantly running. We replaced their inefficient sump pump with our TripleSafe sump pump system. Our TripleSafe comes with a battery backup system, seen to the right of the pump in the after photo. The TripleSafe also has three pumps, two discharge lines, a moisture proof lid, and an alarm system. The TripleSafe will do a much better job at keeping water away from this home, all while being way more energy efficient.
This homeowner in Cincinnati, OH, was dealing with an over used sump pump. You see, their old waterproofing system had footer drains that were wrapped around the foundation in the soil outside the home. Overtime, these drains began to clog and channel mud into the sump pump. When this happens, the sump pump can break down from overuse, which is exactly what happened in this situation. We replaced their outdated waterproofing system with our patented interior system. Our WaterGuard drains were installed inside the home around the basement floor. By placing our drains on top of the homes footing, we are able to keep them out of the "mudzone" located outside the home. Because of this, the drains are much less likely to clog, the sump pump won't break down as quickly, and we are able to service the system from inside the home. The homeowner was very happy with our system because we didn't have to dig around their foundation and because the system is full proof.
Seen in the before picture are some slight water stains on the concrete walls in this Liberty Township basement. In the after picture you can see the TripleSafe sump pump attached with an UltraSump 4 battery back, as well as fresh concrete floated over the subfloor WaterGuard drains. This before and after photo set is from our "Waterproofing a basement with an Existing Radon Mitigation System" case study. Be sure to check it out!
This customers sump pump that they purchased through one of our competitors was not up to standard. We were glad to help them out and switch the old pump with one of our TripleSafe sump pumps. Their sump pump transformed from a liability to a dependability.
