Foundation Services Photo Album: Helical Wall Anchors Secure a Fort Thomas, KY Foundation

This Fort Thomas, KY, home had a bowing foundation wall on the front side of the home. We drew up a solution that consisted of four of our helical tiebacks with C-channel wall anchors in order to stabilize the foundation, and to attempt to straighten the wall back out. The customer also reported leaks from the same wall, so we also added an interior waterproofing system to help keep moisture out of the home. These tie-backs reach hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation, ensuring permanent stabilization. You may also notice that we sealed the tie-backs along the foundation wall with tar.

These wall anchors were tightened to straighten the wall out immediately. The homeowner was selling the home, so they wanted this process done right away.

Sump Pump Installation in Fort Thomas, KY

This is where we installed our SuperSump sump pump. This sump pump will discharge all the water it collects through the subfloor drains along the front wall. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed behind the studs to protect them from moisture. The vapor barrier is tucked into the subfloor system, allowing the vapor barrier to channel water down to the WaterGuard drains beneath the floor.
