This is what our system looked like before we covered it with a concrete float. We first trenched the floors to make room, and then we drilled weeping holes in the coves to invite water in. We then backfilled the trenches with our WaterGuard subfloor drains and gravel. After we graded the drains down to the sump pump, we then rolled our moisture proof tape over the drains to prevent moisture from leaking into the concrete we poured over the drains later.
