Foundation Repair Products Photo Album: Basement Repair Company in North Bend, Ohio
This poured foundation in North Bend, OH, was having some trouble with hydrostatic pressure. A long horizontal crack spread across the basement right next to the frost line, where most basements receive the most pressure from water. This is because during the winter, saturated soil can freeze outside a foundation and expand dramatically, causing walls to bow. We repaired the bowing walls by installing our carbon strips across the walls, increasing the tensile strength of the foundation. These CarbonArmor strips are minimally invasive, and we were even able to throw up our BrightWall panels over them, concealing them completely. We also waterproofed the basement with our WaterGuard subfloor drains and our SuperSump sump pump so the homeowners can have some peace of mind against water damage. The BrightWall panels fit into the waterproofing system so that if the cracks leak, the water will channel straight into the subfloor system.
CarbonArmor Strips
Our CarbonArmor receives multiple layers of epoxy to the wall after we sand the wall down to make sure the glue has a strong connection.
Moisture-Proof Panels
Since we don't have to service our CarbonArmor strips, and because they are so thin, we can throw wall systems over them.
Frost Line
This crack you see running horizontally across the basement is right near where the frost line is outside the foundation.
BrightWall Panels
These panels block out moisture, channel wall leaks down to the WaterGuard subfloor drains, and look very clean.
Sump Pump
We installed our SuperSump in the lowest graded portion of the basement. This sump has an airtight lid, an alarm system, an airtight floor drain, and a 1/3 HP Zoeller pump.
