Problematic Foundation
This is where we installed our piers. The stair-like cracking you see in the block foundation was a cause for concern.
Helical Pier System Installation
the Helical Piers are mechanically screwed into the ground until it reaches bedrock or competent soil. Their screw-like shape helps them reach deep depths without displacing the soil they are entering. You can see the cavities we dug out underneath the footing of the home in this photo as well. We obviously made sure to space each cavity out to keep structural integrity.
Helical Pier Brackets
A Special Bracket is attached to the Helical Pier and also to the home's foundation footer to permanently stabilize the home and possibly lift the foundation to a level position. The red attachment on top of the brackets is what allows us to hydraulically lift the footers.
Helical Pier Installation
Helical Piers are installed below grade, so once installed you will not see them. Once we got this foundation secured and lifted, we then made sure to backfill this trench with soil.
