They are able to hold so much weight due to their design. At the base of each SmartJack, we dig a deep hole, (around 3-4 feet) and fill the hole with limestone. The limestone will never settle or move, ensuring each SmartJack won't sink. They are also made of galvanized steel to prevent rusting.
