This Loveland, OH, home had a crawl space so humid, the wood framing had begun to rot—and the homeowner could feel the floors sagging underfoot. We tackled the problem at the source by fully encapsulating and waterproofing the crawl space using our CleanSpace vapor barrier, drainage matting, and two SmartSump sump pumps. We also installed a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier and a full perimeter of perforated drain tile to keep water and moisture under control long-term. For added energy efficiency, we insulated the walls with SilverGlo rigid foam panels and sprayed foam insulation on the rim joists.    The humidity had taken a serious toll on the structure, so we reinforced the framing with a SmartJack support system, a new supplemental beam, and we sistered floor joists throughout the space.
