Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Subfloor Replacement in Franklin, OH

This photo album, taken in Franklin, OH, reveals what kind of crawl space repair can be needed when moisture goes unchecked for a long time. Basically, the wooden flooring system in this home rotted away, leaving the structure completely unsafe to walk across. To make the home safe again, we had to replace all of the rotted wood. This meant taking out all of the furniture and appliances in the home, tearing out the rotted wood, replacing the wood, and reattaching the subfloor. The floor joists, the sill plates, the bandboards, and the subfloors were all replaced in the worst parts of the home. Lastly, we also installed some jacks underneath the home to ensure the new (and old) joist system stays sturdy in the most vulnerable parts of the structure.

We installed a row of our steel crawl space posts underneath this area of the home where all the wood was replaced. These posts have a steel beam running across the floor joist system in the middle of the room.
