Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Tipp City, Ohio

The new owners of this home in Tipp City, OH, wanted their crawl space encapsulated to eliminate all the moisture related issues they were experiencing. We started by removing all the debris from the space, mainly the existing pink fiberglass insulation. Next, we installed two SmartSump sump pumps in opposite corners of the large space to manage groundwater and to prevent the space from flooding. Next, we wrapped the foundation walls with our SilverGlo insulation to keep the space warm in the winter and we lifted up the main beam with our SmartJack crawl space posts to level out the floors above. We finished the project by wrapping the entire space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier and hooking up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to provide ultimate moisture control. With this new encapsulation system in place, the homeowners can look forward to savings on energy bills, cleaner air, savings on future repairs, and an overall studier and healthier home.

Our Inspector snapped this photo when providing a free estimate for the crawl space repair. All this nasty insulation had fallen from the floor joists in the ceiling. The homeowner attempted to rip out the fallen insulation, but quickly realized the fiberglass was too nasty to remove themselves. When dealing with old fiberglass, it is important to wear a respirator and to cover exposed skin, as the material is very irritating and potentially harmful.
