Photo Album: Foundation Repair Systems in Cincinnati, Ohio
One corner of this home in Cincinnati, OH, started to settle away from the rest of the foundation, causing cracks and sticky windows. We underpinned the footing of the home in order to stabilize and lift the sunken part of the foundation. We underpinned the home with our helical piers, which are capable of reaching deep depths into the soil thanks to their screw-like shape. We also were able to lift the foundation by using our hydraulic systems, which are able to extend the piers upward, fixing the sticky window situation. The result was a happy homeowner, free of a sinking home. If you want to learn more, be sure to scroll through the photo album!
Helical Piers System
We installed 9 total piers, including the two shown here. These piers latch under the footer by using their "L" shape bracket.
Load-Bearing Soil
We are able to guarantee the home will never settle where the piers were installed because we always transfer the weight of the structure to load-bearing strata. We know we hit load-bearing strata when our pressure gauges read a certain PSI when screwing them down. Load-bearing soil will never shift.
Backfilled Trench
After the job is complete we backfill the piers with the soil used to create the trenches. This soil will settle and pack down over time.
