This finished basement in Colerain - Cincinnati, OH, was disguising some very serious foundational issues, including moisture & lateral wall movements. The homeowner knew something was wrong because their drywall was cracking and their carpet was ruined. Our Inspector informed them something they already knew - their basement was leaking, and something they didn't know - their walls were moving inward. The homeowner knew that our Inspector was telling the truth after we showed them the deflection in their walls. The homeowner was not exactly aware of what this all entailed, so they needed some time to do some research before committing to anything. We told them there was no rush, and to take all the time they needed. After researching online, and even looking at some of our information on our website, the homeowner knew that we were the right ones to repair their finished basement. Free Basement Inspection in Cincinnati, OH

This photo was taken upon the initial visit. It may be hard to tell from the photo, but the drywall was bubbling and the wall was leaning in from the top. Poured foundation walls, like this one, often reveal signs of lateral movement by leaning in at the top.

Steel Beam Wall Braces in Cincinnati, OH

Our patented PowerBraces were installed to stabilize the walls. They are coated in zinc to prevent rusting, unlike other beam systems.

PowerBrace System in Cincinnati, OH

From this photo, you can see the specially designed brackets the PowerBraces contain at the top, connecting them to the floor joists. These brackets allow us to tighten the braces while preventing damage to the floor joists. By tightening the braces, we can try and straighten the wall back out over time.

This old sump pump was part of the homeowners exterior french drain system put in place when the home was first built. Exterior systems often fail due to clogging by high pressure and mud. They also can't be serviced without digging around the outside of your home, unlike our patented interior system.
