An Oregonia, Ohio homeowner has a bowing block basement wall in his home that was built in the 1920s. The homeowner met with Walt, a professionally trained inspector for a solution to this problem. Walt recommended that PowerBraces are installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
PowerBraces are steel I-Beams installed tightly against the wall and secured with brackets that are attached to the floor and floor joists. These PowerBraces immediately stabilize the wall and can be tightened over time to potentially reverse wall failure.
A Dayton homeowner was having problems with water seeping in through the basement walls. We installed WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and BrightWall Paneling System. The BrightWall will drain any water that seeps through the foundation walls into the WaterGuard where it will be pumped out of the house through the sump pump system. The BrightWall has made a big improvement to the look of this basement.
This house had water seeping into the basement. To resolve this problem we installed a WellDuct Window Drain to drain the water from the window well down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System. This water will be removed from the basement by the sump pump system.
We installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation for a homeowner in Withamsville, Ohio. A CleanSpace Liner is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space to provide a vapor-proof barrier. We also installed a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System and an UltraSump Battery Back-up System. This pump will automatically turn on during a power failure and will pump water using battery power.
A Cincinnati homeowner had problems with water seeping into the basement near the floor along the rear wall of the basement. The homeowner met with Brice, a certified inspector, who recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, along with a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System and an UltraSump Battery Back-up System. WaterGuard will intercept that water that is seeping in and will drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The UltraSump battery backup sump will come on during power or pump failures and will run on battery power. An alarm will sound alerting the homeowner that there is an issue with the pump giving the homeowner time to resolve the problem before damage occurs.
A Cincinnati homeowner needed to have the crawl space insulated and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati. The homeowner met with Brice, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a CleanSpace Encapsulation System along with Drainage matting, SilverGlo Insulation, Rim Joist Insulation, and an Everlast Door is installed to resolve the problems in the crawlspace.
In these photos, you can see the difference the CleanSpace and SilverGlo have made in this crawl space. The CleanSpace will provide a mold and vapor-proof barrier and the SilverGlo will insulate the crawl space keeping the floors warmer in the winter and also helping with condensation in the summer. The CleanSpace really brightens up the crawl space. This will make it much easier for the homeowner to access when needed.
