EverBrace® Foundation Restoration - West Alexandria, OH
Challenge
A homeowner in West Alexandria, Ohio had growing concerns about the stability of their aging stone foundation. Over the years, the foundation walls had developed significant cracks and signs of inward bowing. As the damage progressed, they noticed uneven floors and visible gaps in parts of the foundation. The structural integrity of the home was at risk, and the homeowner wanted a permanent solution before the situation worsened.
Replacing the foundation entirely would have been costly and disruptive. The homeowner needed a reliable system that could stabilize the deteriorating stone walls without the need for full excavation or demolition.
Solution
After inspecting the property, our team recommended the EverBrace® Wall Restoration System, designed specifically for situations where foundation walls are too damaged for traditional reinforcement methods.
We installed the EverBrace system along the interior of the stone foundation, placing steel I-beams and corrugated steel panels to form a rigid support structure. Once the steel framework was in place, we injected a specialized polyurethane foam behind the panels. This process filled any gaps between the failing stone wall and the new steel system, transferring the structural load from the deteriorating foundation to the EverBrace system itself.
The combination of steel support and foam insulation stabilized the home’s foundation and reinforced the stone walls, all while avoiding the need for major exterior excavation or rebuilding. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their foundation is secure for the long term, with added protection against moisture and future wall movement.
