This crawl space in Hamersville, OH, had turned into a jungle over time due to excess moisture. This moisture had caused a lot of the wooden framing to become soft, the fiberglass insulation to become ineffective, the lally columns to rust, moldy air to seep into the rest of the home, etc, etc... We fixed these problems for the future by encapsulating the crawl space to stop the main culprit for all these problems, moisture. We also tore out all the fiberglass and installed our SilverGlo insulation along the block walls and sprayed foam insulation along the rim joists. We also helped the failing lally columns out by installing our SmartJack post system underneath the main beam in the crawl space. Another product that we used is our anabec mold cleanser, which you can really see the effects of from these photos. Just look at how well the wooden framing cleaned up!

A Fayetteville, Ohio homeowner noticed water seeping into the basement through the seam between the wall and the floor. To resolve this problem for the homeowner, we recommended installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump System and WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.
The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed along the foundation wall to intercept any water that seeps into the basement. The water from the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System will then be pumped out of the basement through the TripleSafe Sump Pump System.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System features three powerful pumps. Pump 1 is a 1/3 horsepower pump that will be doing the pumping the majority of the time. Pump 2 is a 1/2 horsepower pump that will automatically run if the first pump would happen to fail or if it cannot keep up with a heavy flow of water. Pump 3 is a battery back up pump that will run on battery power during times of power failure. These three powerful systems are all designed to fit perfectly into the TripleSafe Liner making it the "World's most reliable pumping system."
A Georgetown, Ohio homeowner was noticing a wall in the basement that was bowing so they called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem. We installed the PowerBrace System to resolve this problem for the homeowner. The PowerBrace is a steel I-beam that is secured tightly against a failing wall. The PowerBrace is used to immediately stabilize the wall and protect it from further movement. The PowerBrace has an adjustable bracket that can be tightened over time to potentially straighten the wall and reverse the wall failure.
SmartJack Floor Supports are used to repair floors that are unlevel, creaking, or sagging. This could happen due to the settling of the foundation. A SmartJack is a steel pier that is installed into a structural stone that has been installed on the floor of the crawl space. An adjustable screw is used to jack the floor into place. Now, the flooring system above has the support it needs and the homeowner will no longer have to worry about the sagging floors.
This home in Sardinia, Ohio was having issues with large amounts of water pooling in their basement. Our inspectors came to look over the property and determined that this water was coming in under the doorway during storms and heavy rain. Large volumes of water like this can be very damaging to walls, wood, and fixtures in the basement. Luckily, our team had a solution.
Our team installed a TrenchDrain in front of this doorway. The TrenchDrain is designed to capture large volumes of water and transfer it to the WaterGuard management system. This drain will then transport water to the sump pump system for it to be pumped back outside. This will protect the basement and resolve the issues of water pouring in under the door.
The homeowners of this property in Ripley, Ohio were becoming concerned by the unevenness of their interior floors. Our inspector determined that the concrete underneath the carpet had become compromised and cracked. This can lead to tripping hazards that worsen over time.
To resolve this issue, our team installed PolyLevel beneath these indoor concrete slabs. PolyLevel is a high-strength, durable, and easily installed polyurethane foam that lifts concrete slabs back to level. This resolved the uneven concrete issues within the home and stabilized the slabs permanently.
A homeowner in Sardinia, Ohio had been noticing musty odors in their home and uneven floors above their crawl space. Concerned about the long-term effects of moisture and poor insulation, they reached out to our team for a solution. After inspecting the crawl space, we found signs of high humidity, inadequate insulation, and areas where outside air and moisture were easily entering.
To properly protect the space, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier across the entire crawl space floor and walls. This durable liner helps seal out ground moisture and prevents the kind of damp, musty conditions that can lead to mold and wood rot. We also insulated the walls with SilverGlo rigid foam insulation panels to improve energy efficiency and keep the floors above warmer during the winter months. An EverLast access door was added to provide a tight, secure entry point that keeps pests and outside air out. Finally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to actively control humidity and ensure the air stays clean and dry year-round.
With these upgrades in place, the homeowner now has a clean, dry, and properly insulated crawl space that helps protect their entire home from moisture damage, uncomfortable drafts, and poor air quality.
