A Brookville, Ohio homeowner was having problems with a crack in the basement wall that was seeping water into the basement.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and met with a Certified Inspector, Donny, to find a solution to this problem.

Donny recommended that FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.  FlexiSpan Crack Repair has three layers of protection for a leaking crack.  First, the crack is sealed with a bead of sealant.  Next, a FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip is installed over the crack.   The next layer is a sealant overlay that seals the crack from top to bottom and is tucked into the drainage below.  This is a permanent repair and it works every time.

This home had a basement ceiling that was caving in slowly but surely. Floor joists bend for many reasons like: moisture, excess weight above, age, poor materials, etc. We held up the ceilings floor joists by using SmartJacks, completely customizable piers that can be adjusted whenever needed. We also installed a BrightWall panels on the walls and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to combat the slight moisture issue.

Plumbing leaking into crawl space in Brookville, OH

A Brookville, Ohio homeowner had water leaking into the crawl space from a bathtub that caused damage to the floor joists in the crawl space.   The homeowner called the Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for help resolving this problem.  We installed a SmartJack Floor Support System, CleanSpace Encapsulation system and CleanSpace Vent Covers, a SaniDry Sedona, and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System to resolve this problem for the homeowner.

The SmartJack Floor Supports are installed by compacting a structural stone footing in place.  A steel pier is cut to size and installed under the area that needs floor support.  The adjustable screw will jack up the floor to the level position and can be readjusted in the future if needed.

CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a plastic liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space.  This provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground below and the home.  The CleanSpace Vent Covers seal the vents to prevent cold air and moisture from entering the crawl space.

The SaniDry Sedona is a dehumidifier that dries and purifies the air.  Too much humidity in the air is uncomfortable and also encourages mold growth.  The SaniDry will filter out mold spores, particles in the air and help you to have a healthier home environment.
