Using PolyLEVEL, an expansive polyurethane foam we lift and level sunken concrete slabs. The foam expands beneath the surface of the concrete lifting the sunken concrete slab. The foam cures over the course of a day leaving a powerful and lightweight foundation beneath the slab. PolyLEVEL is the preferred method over traditional forma of mudjacking or slab jacking.
A homeowner in Sardinia, Ohio had been noticing musty odors in their home and uneven floors above their crawl space. Concerned about the long-term effects of moisture and poor insulation, they reached out to our team for a solution. After inspecting the crawl space, we found signs of high humidity, inadequate insulation, and areas where outside air and moisture were easily entering.
To properly protect the space, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier across the entire crawl space floor and walls. This durable liner helps seal out ground moisture and prevents the kind of damp, musty conditions that can lead to mold and wood rot. We also insulated the walls with SilverGlo rigid foam insulation panels to improve energy efficiency and keep the floors above warmer during the winter months. An EverLast access door was added to provide a tight, secure entry point that keeps pests and outside air out. Finally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to actively control humidity and ensure the air stays clean and dry year-round.
With these upgrades in place, the homeowner now has a clean, dry, and properly insulated crawl space that helps protect their entire home from moisture damage, uncomfortable drafts, and poor air quality.
