This Lebanon, OH home had a damp, musty crawl space that was contributing to poor air quality and energy loss. Our team designed a complete encapsulation and waterproofing system to protect the home for the long term. We installed 156 feet of perforated drain pipe around the perimeter, tied into a SmartSump with an UltraSump battery backup for reliable protection during heavy rains and power outages. To improve energy efficiency, we added 468 square feet of SilverGlo insulation and sealed the rim joists with spray foam. Drainage matting was laid across the entire floor, followed by 1,377 square feet of CleanSpace liner to fully encapsulate and separate the crawl space from outside moisture. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity under control, and we finished the project with a Turtl access door for secure, easy entry. Now this crawl space is dry, clean, and energy efficient—bringing lasting protection to the entire home.
For this Lebanon, Ohio home, we installed a full basement protection system that included WaterGuard drainage, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and the PowerBrace foundation repair system.
The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a drainage channel installed beneath the floor slab along the interior perimeter. It collects water seepage from the walls and floor joint, directing it into the sump pump for safe removal.
To handle the water removal, we recommended the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump. This system features a durable 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump capable of discharging up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour. It also comes with a WaterWatch alarm that warns the homeowner of pump or power failure, a heavy-duty SuperLiner with built-in inlet holes, and an airtight lid that keeps moisture, odors, and insects from escaping back into the basement. The lid also includes a floor drain that allows water from plumbing leaks to flow directly into the liner to be pumped away.
Finally, we stabilized the basement walls with the PowerBrace System. These zinc-plated steel I-beams are anchored to the floor and floor joists, bracing the foundation walls against bowing or tipping. Over time, the system’s adjustable brackets can be tightened to help straighten the walls back toward their original position.
With this complete system in place, the homeowner now has a dry, stable basement with long-term protection.
