In Jamestown, OH, a homeowner faced structural issues due to failing lally columns in their basement. The original steel columns showed rust and deterioration, contributing to uneven floors and minor wall cracks. To address this, we replaced them with our SmartJack posts, which are galvanized for corrosion resistance and engineered to support substantial loads. Unlike traditional lally columns, SmartJack posts are fully adjustable, allowing precise leveling and long-term stability. This upgrade not only stabilized the basement immediately but also gave the homeowner a durable, adaptable solution they can rely on for years to come.

This 1990’s home in Jamestown, OH, had a 2-foot-tall block foundation crawl space with no sump system in place. The space carried a musty odor, showing signs of excess moisture and possible hidden issues. We repaired the crawl space by encapsulating the space with CleanSpace liner and SilverGlo insulation, sealing out dampness and creating a clean, dry environment. Not pictured is the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which helps keep humidity under control year-round. The musty smell is gone, and the home is now better protected against moisture, with improved air quality and long-term structural health.

This crawl space foundation in Jamestown, OH, had deteriorated over time due to moisture and insufficient support columns. Ground moisture had caused a lot of the wooden framing in the crawl space to become soft and brittle, which was one of the reasons why the flooring upstairs had become sloped. Another reason the the framing settled was because the crawl space support system was comprised of various "DIY" fixes including insufficient lally columns, sinking cinder blocks, and wooden shims that had rotted away. We repaired the space by first installing our SmartJack crawl space support posts, which are able to hold up to 60,000 pounds, which is more than enough for any floor. By jacking up our posts, we were able to effectively level out the framing in the crawl space and stabilize the load. After we repaired the floors, we then encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier and our SaniDry Sedona dehumidification system to ensure the wooden framing doesn't undergo any more moisture damage. This jobstory is an important display of how moisture can really wreck a crawl space frame if not accounted for.
A Jamestown, Ohio homeowner was having problems with the basement flooding after a heavy rain. He called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to this problem.
The homeowner met with a certified inspector who recommended that a TripleSafe Sump Pump system is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is a three pump system. Pump one is the primary pump that will be doing the majority of the pumping. It is a Zoeller 1/3 hp pump. Pump two is a 1/2 hp high volume pump and it will turn on if pump one fails or becomes overwhelmed by the amount of water both pumps will work at the same time and can pump a total of 6,200 gallons of water out of the basement per hour. Pump three is an UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump this pump will turn on during a power failure and run via battery power. It comes with its own battery and charging station.
A Jamestown, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement. The house was built in the mid-1970's and still has the same homeowner. He met with one of our certified inspectors who recommended a new sump system is installed. The system he recommended was The SuperSump Pump System. The SuperSump Pump System includes a 1/3 hp Zoeller sump pump with a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound when the water reaches the point that the pump should have started, a SuperLiner that will not crack or cave in, and the Airtight Lid that keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, quiets the pump, and keeps things from falling into the sump well. It is strong enough to stand on.
