We examine a foundation in Hillsboro, Ohio that was sloping and cracking over time. We determined that the best solution for the foundation issues would be to install a series of helical piers. We installed 8 Helical Piers under the perimeter of the foundation in order to permanently stabilize it and prevent further settling.
The owners of a property we worked on in Lynchburg, Ohio became concerned when they noticed that their kitchen floor was pulling away from the wall. After examining under some of the displaced tiles, they noticed that the concrete was cracking as well. They called us to see what could be done to resolve the issue.
Our inspector determined that the issue was caused by their indoor flooring sinking into uncompact soils over time - creating an uneven surface. Our technicians installed PolyLevel beneath the slabs. PolyLevel is a high-strength foam that expands as it dries - lifting slabs back to level. This solution secured the kitchen floor and was installed and dry within an hour.
This home in Leesburg, Ohio had recurring issues with their basement walls bowing and tilting. The homeowners had previously had a contractor install carbon fiber straps, which were not properly placed and had become compromised over time. They knew that it was time to call the experts.
Our team installed 8 PowerBraces along the bowing basement walls, permanently stabilizing them. This solution can also be tightened over time - potentially reversing wall failure. This makes it a great long-term solution that left the homeowners with peace of mind and stabilized walls.
A homeowner in Hillsboro, Ohio (Highland County) contacted us with concerns about moisture in the crawl space of their prefabricated home. Prefab homes often sit over crawl spaces that are especially vulnerable to dampness, and in this case, standing water and musty odors were beginning to affect the air quality inside. The homeowners wanted a permanent solution to protect both their living space and the home’s structure.
Our team designed a complete waterproofing and encapsulation system. We installed perforated drain pipe around the perimeter to capture and direct water to a SmartSump pump system. Across the crawl space floor, we laid drainage matting to keep water moving freely beneath the liner. From there, we encapsulated the entire area with CleanSpace, creating a sealed barrier against moisture. To finish the job, we added a high-performance dehumidification system to keep the environment dry and stable year-round.
The result is a clean, healthy, and energy-efficient crawl space that gives the homeowners peace of mind knowing their prefabricated home is now protected from future moisture issues.
We encapsulated this crawl space in Hillsboro, OH, because a customer wanted to get rid of the musty smell throughout their home. We told them that our encapsulation system wouldn't just get rid of the musty smell, it would also help protect their foundation from moisture damage. The customer agreed that this was a wise decision, so they went ahead and signed the contract for the encapsulation. We first waterproofed the space with our SmartSump sump pump to ensure that the encapsulation system stays safe from flooding. This sump pump will also help safeguard against plumbing leaks, should they ever occur. We then wrapped the entire space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Our vapor barrier is similar to a pool liner, and is 20 mils thick and made of antimicrobial material. It is also super strong. We then finished the system by installing our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to ensure the newly sealed space stays dry as can be. Lastly, we dug a discharge line for the sump pump in the yard, making sure to save the sod by carefully cutting it out of the yard. The homeowner was very impressed with their new encapsulation system.
We waterproofed this storm-cellar basement in Greenfield, OH, to make for a comfier living situation for the homeowner. The only way to access this basement was through the stairwell, which often flooded. The walls and coves also leaked frequently, and the homeowner could no longer put up with the smells emitting into their bedroom above the basement. We waterproofed the basement by installing 48 linear feet of our WaterGuard subfloor drains, wrapping the walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, installing a trench drain around the stairwell threshold, and fitting a new SmartSump sump pump in the corner. The homeowner noticed a difference in the smell of their home from their bedroom right away after we completed the job.
This crawl space in Hillsboro, OH, was constantly experiencing high moisture levels before we repaired it with our patented encapsulation system. The first two photos attached to this job story show what the space looked like upon the initial visitation. Our representative noted one piece of wood that read a 38.9% moisture content, which is abnormally high. To preserve the rest of the wood from dry rot, we first wrapped the perimeter of the crawl space with our waterproofing system consisting of drainage tile, a sump pump, and our drainage membrane across the entire floor. After waterproofing, we then encapsulated the space by wrapping our CleanSpace vapor barrier across the entire floor, around the columns, and up the walls. To insulate the space, we installed our SilverGlo reflective panels across the exterior walls from the inside and we sprayed our foam insulation all over the rim joists. Lastly, we installed our dehumidification system to keep the air in the space dry and regulated.
