A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement through a crack in the foundation and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.  He met with Roger, a Certified Inspector who recommended FlexiSpan Crack Repair to resolve this problem.

FlexiSpan Crack Repair System has three layers of protection against water leaking through a crack in a foundation wall.  First, a bead of sealant that seals the crack.  Next, is the FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip.  Any small amount of water that would get past the sealant will seep down the drain strip and into the drainage below.  The last layer is a sealant overlay, making this tough waterproof seal a permanent solution for this leaking crack.

The homeowner was very happy with the repair and how clean the Lead Service Technician, Jon, left his home.

A Cincinnati homeowner was having problems with moisture and a musty odor in the crawl space.  We installed CleanSpace Encapsulation System and SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation to resolve this problem for the homeowner.  Also installed for this project is CleanSpace Drainage Matting and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

In the before photo, you can see there is a white plastic vapor barrier but there is no vapor barrier on the walls or insulation on the walls.  The CleanSpace Liner will provide a mold and vapor-proof barrier and the SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation will reflect heat back into the crawl space.  This will help to keep the floors upstairs warmer and lower heating costs for the homeowner.

Polylevel Used to Raise Concrete Porch Slab in Cincinnati, OH

Dave, a homeowner in Cincinnati called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to schedule an inspector to give him a free estimate to lift his front porch slab.  He met with our Certified Inspector, Mark, who suggested Polylevel concrete lifting.  Polylevel is a high-density foam that is used to fill the voids under the slab and lift the concrete slab back into its original position.  In the photo, you can see that the Polylevel injection was done with little disruption to his porch.

The homeowner was very happy with his job and said "Your solution requires far less damage to the yard or to the stone on the porch. Other options such as slab jack would have been very disruptive with a lot of side damage. Cleanup was easy."

SuperSump and WaterGuard Installed in Mt. Washington, OH

A homeowner in Mount Washington had water seeping into his unfinished basement and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.

He met with one of our Certified Inspectors who recommended a SuperSump with IceGuard and a LawnScape outlet and WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.

The SuperSump pump system is the finest sump pump system available and includes a WaterWatch Alarm which will sound if there is a problem with the pump.  It also has a SuperLiner that won't cave in or crack, has an exclusive "pump ring" that centers the pump inside the liner.  It also has an Airtight Lid that keeps moisture from reentering the basement, keeps out bugs and odors and also quiets the pump.  The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a perimeter piping system that intercepts the water and drains it to the sump pump where it is pumped out of the house.  These products will help keep the basement dry and comfortable giving the homeowner a usable space for storage or living space!

PowerBraces and WaterGuard to repair water problems in Cincinnati, OH

A homeowner in Cincinnati had water seeping into the basement and also a bowing wall in her basement.  We installed our patented WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a piping system designed to intercept the water and drain into a sump pump system, keeping your basement dry.

The SuperSump system will perform reliably for many years and includes the WaterWatch Alarm that will sound an alarm to alert the homeowner if the water would rise to the point that the pump did not come on.  It also has a rugged heavy-duty SuperLiner, and comes with an Airtight Lid.   The Airtight Lid keeps objects from falling into the sump pump well, quiets the sump and keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement.

We also installed PowerBraces to stabilize the wall.   PowerBraces are the shiny IBeams you see in the picture.  They are attached and secured to your floor joist and the basement floor and immediately stabilize the wall.  They also can be tightened over time potentially being able to also straighten the walls.

The homeowner now has peace of mind that the next time we get a lot of rain the basement will remain dry!  They will also no longer have to worry about the stabilization of the wall.  PowerBraces permanently stabilize the wall.

Basement that was flooding helped by WaterGuard System.

A customer in Cincinnati had recently moved into a home that had problems with basement flooding.  The homeowner wanted to use the basement as extra living space but needed to get the flooding problem addressed before completely finishing the basement.

The homeowner met with one of our Certified Inspectors who recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.  WaterGuard is a perimeter piping system set into the floor that intercepts the water and drains it away unseen into a sump pump system, such as our SuperSump pump.

The SuperSump pump system is a high-end Zoeller pump.  It also has the WaterWatch System, which will alert the homeowner if there is a problem with the pump.  The SuperLiner a rugged, heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack.  The Airtight lid that will keep out bugs and odors, keeps things from falling into the sump pump well and quiets the pump.   Also recommended, is IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines, and a LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line.

These products working together will give the protection this homeowner needs to prevent the basement from flooding and will now be able to finish the basement to be used for extra living space.

Crawl space transformation in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati homeowner had a guest house that was built in the 70's that had a block foundation and there was no sump pump installed.   The homeowner had problems with water in the crawl space and the insulation was falling down.  He wanted a permanent solution to this problem so he called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for help with this problem.

One of our certified inspectors, Steve, recommended a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, and UltraSump Battery Back-up System, CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, CleanSpace Vent Covers, and an Everlast Crawlspace Door.

Not a lot of homeowners visit the crawl space area often.  The SmartSump is designed especially for crawl spaces!   It has a unique lid design so that if water leaks from a plumbing problem it would fill a special pocket on the lid and sounds an alarm alerting the homeowner to a problem.  The UltraSump battery back-up pumping system has a second pump in case of primary pump failure or power failure.  It has its own power pack and charger.  An alarm will also sound when this pump is running alerting the homeowner to an issue with the sump pump systems.

CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a 20-mil thick liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space to permanently separate the crawl space area from the ground below.  The white finish makes it easier to see in the crawlspace and keeps it free of mold, insects, and dirt.  CleanSpace Vent Covers help to provide an air-tight seal.  An Everlast door is our crawl space door that makes it easier to access the crawl space.

With the CleanSpace Encapsulation System, SmartSump and UltraSump Systems, along with the CleanSpace Vent Covers installed the homeowner will not have to worry about water in the crawlspace.  The Everlast Door will make it easier to access the crawlspace when needed.

PowerBrace System to stabilize a foundation wall in Cleves, OH

A Cleves, Ohio homeowner noticed a bowing wall in the basement and water seeping in near the floor of the foundation wall.  To resolve this problem, we installed the patented PowerBrace System to the bowing wall.  The PowerBrace system consists of zinc-plated steel beams that are secured to the wall with brackets that are attached at the floor joist and floors to stabilize the wall.

We also installed WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System to intercept the water that is seeping in at the floor of the foundation wall.  WaterGuard is a piping system that is installed in the floor along the foundation wall to intercept water that is seeping in.  The water is then drained into a sump pump system, such as the SuperSump, to be pumped out of the basement.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System includes a 1/3hp Zoeller cast iron pump, the WaterWatch alarm System that will alert the homeowner to problems with the pump due to pump failure of power failure.  The SuperLiner, a heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack, and an Airtight Lid.  The Airtight Lid keeps things from falling into the SuperLiner, keeps moisture from re-entering the basement, and quiets the pump.   The Airtight Lid is strong enough for you to stand on it or store items on top of it.

The PowerBrace System to stabilize the wall, the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing system along with the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System will give this homeowner peace of mind that the basement will be dry and they will be able to use the basement for extra living space or storage.

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping through a finished basement wall.  The basement has a poured foundation and there was no sump installed.  The homeowner met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed to resolve this problem.

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed along the foundation walls to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement.  The water is then pumped into a sump pump system to be drained out of the basement.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System has a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm System, the SuperLiner and the Airtight Lid.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound an alarm if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on.  This will alert the homeowner to a problem that needs to be resolved with the pump system.  The SuperLiner has 96 holes in it that will allow water to drain in from under the floor.  The Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling into the liner, keeps out bugs and odors and quiets the pump.

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System along with the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System working together will keep this basement dry for the homeowner.  Now that the water is contained the homeowner will be able to refinish the basement without worries of water intrusion.

Helical Piers to resolve cracks that can be seen from the inside and outside in Liberty Twp. OH

A Liberty Township, Ohio homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati regarding problems with cracks that go all the way through the foundation wall.  The homeowner met with Chris, a Certified Inspector who recommended that Helical Pier System is installed to resolve this problem.

The Helical Pier system is steel pier that is mechanically "screwed" into the ground until reaching competent soil or bedrock.  A steel foundation bracket is attached to the pier and to the foundation footing.  The weight of the home is transferred from the unstable soil to the helical pier.  The system is designed to potentially lift your home back to level.

FlexiSpan used to repair cracks in Terrace Park, OH

A Terrace Park, Ohio homeowner was having problems with cracks in a basement wall and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.  The customer met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that the FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is used to resolve this problem in the basement wall for the homeowner.

FlexiSpan Crack Repair System first seals the crack with a bead of sealant.  Next, a FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip is placed over the sealant.  If there is any water that ever seeps past the sealant, the water will be drained down into the Foam Drain Strip and into the drainage system below.  The last layer is a sealant overlay that covers the repair from top to bottom.  This seals the crack and prevents any water from seeping into the basement through this crack.

TripleSafe Sump Pump System used to resolve water in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water and moisture in the basement.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to this problem.

The homeowner met with Austin, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a TripleSafe Sump Pump System is installed to resolve the water problems in the basement.  The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is a three pump system.  Pump 1 is a Zoeller 1/3 hp pump that will do the majority of the pumping.  Pump 2 will start up if Pump 1 fails or becomes overwhelmed with the amount of water that is seeping into the basement.  Pump 2 will start up giving Pump1 a "turbo boost".  Pump 3 is an UltraSump Battery Back-up Pumping System.  This pump will automatically start up during a power failure and can run on battery power.  It comes with a power pack and charging station.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System will pump the water out of the basement and help the homeowner to have a dry basement that they can use without fear of water intrusion.

The Sump pump system installed for this job is the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.  The SuperSump is a high-end Zoeller 1/3 hp Zoeller sump pump.  It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm System that will sound an alarm if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on or if there is a power failure.  This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  The SuperLiner has 96 holes throughout it to also allow water to flow in from under the floor.  The Airtight Lid will keep moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keep things from falling into the liner and also helps to quiet the pump.  Also installed, and highly recommended, is the UltraSump Battery Back-up System.  The UltraSump will automatically turn on during pump or power failures and will run on battery power.  It comes with its own power pack and charging station.

PowerBraces are used to stabilize a failing wall that is bowing or tilting.  PowerBraces are steel I-beams secured tight against your basement wall with brackets anchored to the floor and floor joists.  PowerBraces immediately stabilize your foundation walls and can be tightened over time to potentially reverse wall failure.

PowerBraces to resolve a bowing wall in Cincinnati, OH

What causes a basement wall to bow?  The soil that is around the outside of the home expands with heavy rains and freezing temperatures.  This expansion causes the soil to press against the foundation wall.  Over time, the wall can no longer support the pressure and it causes bowing, cracking and tipping.

What can be done to resolve this problem?  The PowerBrace System is designed to immediately stabilize a wall that is bowing, cracking or tipping.  The PowerBrace System consists of steel I-beams that are secured tight against the wall anchored with brackets attached to the floor joist and floor.  The PowerBraces will immediately stabilize the foundation wall and the adjustable bracket can be tightened over time to potentially reverse the wall failure.

We have installed PowerBraces to the walls of this basement to stabilize and protect them against further movement.  In the picture, you can see the top bracket that can be adjusted over time.  PowerBraces can also be used along with other products such as WaterGuard, CleanSpace Wall System, BrightWall Panels and ThermalDry Flooring.

WaterGuard and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System installed to resolve basement water in Cincinnati, OH

We installed a WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System along with a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System for a commercial building in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented basement waterproofing system that was designed by Basement Systems.  The patented piping system is installed into the floor along the foundation walls and is used to intercept the water that seeps into the basement.

The water that flows into the WaterGuard is drained into a sump pump system, such as a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System to be pumped out of the basement.  The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a 1/3 hp sump pump and has several unique features that make this pump a great choice for your basement.  It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner and Airtight Lid.

The WaterWatch Alarm will sound in the event of a pump or power failure.  This will alert the homeowner to the problem giving the homeowner ample time to resolve the problem before damage occurs.

The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that is installed into the floor to house the sump pump system.  The SuperLiner has holes throughout it to allow water to also flow in from under the floor.

The Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out odors, and helps to quiet the pump.  The Airtight Lid also has an Airtight Floor Drain to allow water from a plumbing leak to drain down into the liner, while maintaining an airtight seal.

The WaterGuard and SuperSump Systems working together will provide the homeowner with a dry basement so that the homeowner can use this valuable space.

WaterGuard installed in Cincinnati, OH

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented piping system that is installed along the basement foundation walls.  This piping system is used to collect the water that is seeping into the basement and then it will drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.  A TrenchDrain is a piping system that has a grated top that will allow water to flow in from the top of the pipe, into the WaterGuard and into the sump pump system to also be pumped out of the basement.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a 1/3 hp Zoeller Cast Iron Pump.  The SuperSump also includes the WaterWatch Alarm, Airtight Lid, and the SuperLiner.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure.  This will alert the homeowner to a problem that needs to be resolved with the system.  The Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps objects from falling into the liner and helps to quiet the pump.  The SuperLiner houses the pump.  The SuperLiner has holes throughout the liner to allow water to also flow in from under the floor.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Cincinnati, OH

We encapsulated a crawl space for a homeowner in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The products installed for the homeowner are a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Vent Covers, SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation, SmartJack Floor Supports, SaniDry Sedona, and the Turtl Crawl Space Access System.

The SmartSump is made especially for crawl spaces.  One SMART feature of this pump is the WaterWatch Alarm.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure and also if there is a plumbing leak.  Many homeowners do not enter the crawl space often and may not realize there is a plumbing leak until damage has been done.  If there is water leaking into the crawl space the water will fill the pocket on the Airtight Lid and sound the Alarm.  The water will be drained into the Airtight Floor Drain and then be pumped out of the crawl space.  This will save the homeowner from having to deal with a flooded crawl space.

CleanSpace Drainage Matting has dimples throughout the matting to create a channel for water to flow out of the crawl space.  The CleanSpace liner is a white plastic liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space to provide a vapor barrier between the ground and the home.  CleanSpace Vent Covers are used to cover the existing vents to create an airtight seal and prevent debris from entering the crawl space.

SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation is polystyrene foam insulation that has been infused with graphite particles to reflect heat.  This makes the crawl space and the floors above warmer in the winter.

SmartJack Floor Supports are steel piers that are set into a structural stone and then installed under the floor that needs to be raised.  The adjustable screw can be used to jack up the floor to the original position.  This can be adjusted in the future if needed.

The SaniDry Sedona filters and dries the air in the crawl space to prevent the home from becoming too humid making it uncomfortable and encouraging mold growth and musty odors.  The filter in the SaniDry eliminates mold spores, dust mite droppings, and particles in the air.

The TURTL Crawl Space Access System is made of a rigid plastic that will never rot, rust, or need to be painted.  The TURTL door is strong enough to stand on, can be locked for security, and is weather tight.

With these products installed the homeowner will have a clean and dry crawl space that will also help to create a healthier environment in the living area of the home.

TripleSafe Sump Pumping System installed in Liberty Township, OH

A Liberty Township homeowner had concerns about their existing sump pump system and was also interested in having a battery back up system.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and scheduled an appointment with Mark, a Certified Inspector.

Mark recommended a TripleSafe Sump Pump System.  The TripleSafe has 3 pumps.  Pump 1 is a Zoeller M-53 1/3 hp pump.  This pump will do the pumping most of the time.  If this pump fails or cannot keep up with a heavy water flow Pump 2 will start up to give pump 1 a "turbo boost".  Pump 2 is a Zoeller M-98 hp High Volume Pump.  These two pumps working together can remove up to 6,200 gallons of water per hour out of the basement.  Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up Pumping System.  During a power failure, this pump will operate using battery power to remove water from the basement.  It comes with its own battery and charging station.

The TripleSump will give the homeowner the peace of mind that the basement will have a pump available to pump water out of the basement even during a power failure.

Water that was seeping in at the floor seam resolved in St. Bernard, OH

An older home in St. Bernard was experiencing some water flowing into the basement from the seam between the wall and the floor.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with a certified inspector who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and a SaniDry Sedona was installed to resolve the water problem in the basement.

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a sub-floor piping system that intercepts the water that is seeping into the basement and drains it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.  A Trench Drain was also installed across the doorway, like WaterGuard it intercepts the water to drain it into the sump pump system, the difference is this has a grated top for the water to flow through.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a 1/3 hp system that can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of the basement.  It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, Airtight Lid, and a SuperLiner.  This is the best pump available from 50 models and will perform reliably for many years.

The SaniDry Sedona is used to dry and filter the air.  It is important to control the amount of humidity in the home to keep it comfortable and to discourage mold and musty odors that can inhabit the basement.  The filters of the SaniDry also filter out mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particles in the air.

These products working together will give the homeowner a valuable space that can be used without the inconvenience of water intrusion, humidity, and musty odors.

A homeowner in Cincinnati had a crack in the basement wall that was leaking water into the basement.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and scheduled an appointment with Jeff, a Certified Inspector.  Jeff recommended the FlexiSpan Crack Repair System.

A typical crack repair involves a bead of sealant that is applied or injected into the crack. The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System takes it a little further.  After the bead of sealant, a FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip is applied over the crack.  If any water would get passed the sealant the Foam Drain Strip will wick the water down into the drainage system that is installed below the repair.  A Sealant Overlay is installed over the repair, sealing the repair completely.  This makes this crack repair a permanent repair that will not leak.

If you have cracks that are leaking water into your basement, call The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find out how we can help.

This Cincinnati basement was experiencing pooling water in their basement. They were fitted with a SuperSump to pump water out of the basement and back outside where it belongs! Fitted with a high-end Zoeller cast iron pump, a WaterWatch alarm, a SuperLiner with a "pump ring," and an airtight lid - the SuperSump is a great choice for this basement! Adding an IceGuard prevents the discharge line from clogging or freezing in the winter.

Crack Covers, WaterGuard, and SuperSump Protect an Erlanger, Kentucky Basement from Water Infiltration

A basement in Erlanger, Kentucky was having issues with water pooling on the basement floor after heavy rain. Our team inspected the property and concluded that the water was mainly making its way into the basement through leaking wall cracks. We installed crack covers over these wall cracks in order to channel the leaks down to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard will then capture the water and drain it to the SuperSump to be pumped out of the basement.

Sinking Foundation Stabilized in Cincinnati, Ohio

Our team was called out to a home in Cincinnati, Ohio to determine why the doors and windows were sticking. After some examination, it was determined that the home's foundation was sinking over time and becoming uneven. Our team installed a series of Helical Piers beneath the perimeter of the foundation in order to permanently stabilize it against further settling.

SmartSump Installed in North Bend, Ohio Crawl Space

There is nothing worse than a flooded crawl space. Water in the crawl space can lead to mold, mildew, and wood rot. That is what kept happening to the crawl space of a home in North Bend, Ohio. Every time that it rained, the crawl space would pool with water - which was starting to rot some of their wooden support beams. They knew it was time to call the experts after a storm in June left several inches of water under their home.

The first thing our crew did was encapsulate the space and seal off any vents with airtight covers. Then they replaced the rotten wooden support beams and stabilized the new support system with SmartJacks. Lastly, they installed a SmartSump. This sump pump is uniquely designed for crawl spaces and will pump any water collected back outside.

Cracked Concrete on a Delhi Ohio Back Patio

Victoria K. had her back patio worked in the past by another company. Unfortunately, their solution didn't last. First, Victoria saw our trucks then found us again at the Cincinnati Home and Garden show. That's when she decided to schedule an appointment with us.

We provided Victoria with an estimate for our superior solution to her sinking concrete problem. Our PolyLevel System will be more cost-effective than replacing the back patio and lasts longer than mudjacking.

Concrete Repair in Eaton, OH

We had a concrete repair job in Eaton, Ohio that required more precision than normal on a poly level technique. This particular slab of concrete that needed to be lifted was imprinted with small hands from 20 years ago. The hand imprints were left by the children of the owner's of the home, and were very important to the home owners. The hands had slight cracks in them, so when we were going to lift the concrete, we had to be extra careful. Luckily our team was able to give the perfect lift and carefully seal the hands back together. The home owners were so lucky their piece of history had not been torn apart.
