A homeowner in Moores Hill, Indiana was having problems with cracks and a bowing wall in the basement. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that PowerBrace System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed to resolve the problems in the basement.
The PowerBraces System is steel I-beams that are secured tightly against the wall and attached with brackets the floor and floor joists. The adjustable bracket can be adjusted over time to potentially reverse the wall failure.
The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is used to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement. The water is then drained into a sump pump system, such as the TripleSafe to be pumped out of the basement to keep the basement dry.
The TripleSafe Sump has three pumps. Pump One is the pump that will be doing the pumping the majority of the time. If this pump would fail or become overwhelmed with a high amount of water, then Pump Two will start up to help. These pumps can pump up to 6,250 gallons of water per hour out of the basement when working together. Pump Three is the UltraSump Battery Back-up System. This automatically turns on during a power failure and runs on battery power.
The SaniDry Sedona is used to dry and filter the air. Too much humidity in the home encourages mold, musty odors, and mold growth. The special filters on the SaniDry filter out mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particles in the air. The SaniDry makes your home more comfortable and healthier.
The BrightWall Panels are used to cover the walls, like traditional paneling, but also drains wall leaks down into the WaterGuard to be drained out of the basement. The bright white color really brightens up the basement.
A homeowner in Amelia, Ohio noticed some cracks in a basement wall so they called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for help resolving this problem. The homeowner met with Mike, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and a PowerBrace System is installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was having in the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system that is installed under the floor at the base of the foundation wall. This piping system is used to collect and intercept water from seeping into the basement. The water that is collected by the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is pumped out of the basement with a sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp pump that is used to pump water out of the basement. The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. It also includes the WaterWatch alarm, the SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure. The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that houses the pump and will not cave in or crack. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling into the liner and also helps to quiet the pump.
The PowerBrace System is steel I-beams that are secured tightly against the wall with brackets that are attached to the floor and floor joists. The PowerBrace System is used to stabilize a wall that is bowing, cracking or tipping. There is an adjustable bracket on the PowerBrace that can be tightened over time and can potentially reverse the wall failure.
Having the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System installed will intercept the water that is seeping into the basement and then it will be pumped out of the basement by the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System. This will keep the basement dry so that the homeowner can use it for storage or living space without worries of water intrusion. AND with the PowerBrace System installed on the wall in the basement that was cracking, the wall is stabilized and protected from further movement.
A home in West Harrison, Indiana was having issues with a sloping garage floor and a cracking living room floor. Upon further examination, our team learned that both of these floors were made out of concrete and could be lifted through PolyLevel foam injections. We drilled a series of pea-sized holes through these slabs and applied the injections, lifting the flooring back to level and securing it.
Mr. Elrod lives in a house in Dillsboro, Indiana, that had an addition built onto it sometime between 1975 and 1980. The home was built with a crawlspace. The biggest problem came from the metal access door. When the area gets a lot of rain, the water seeps through the door. Worse, it gets into the vents. After a web search, Mr. Elrod found us on Angie Leads.
Our inspector visited Mr. Elrod's home. The crawl space was in bad shape. The ground was muddy, and the vapor barrier was crumpled in areas, effectively making it useless. We provided an estimate to the homeowner to encapsulate the crawl space. The estimate included our CleanSpace system. We would install a TripleSafe sump pump and our Sanidry Sedona.
Matthew bought a home in Dillsboro, Indiana. It was built in 1960. After living there for 3 months, he realized that every time it rained, he found water in his basement. There was already a sump pump installed in the home before he bought it. However, the leak was happening on the opposite side of the basement. He called us because the previous owners said that we had done an estimate for them in the past. Matthew's other concern was the damage that was visibly getting worse as he settled into the house. The wall was bowing, and he found rain coming in through a window.
We did not get to meet with the new homeowner. They found that the previous owners used a different company for the estimate. We can't do an estimate without seeing the property, but we do have several fixes for the type of problem they were having. For instance, PowerBraces, Geo-Lock anchors, and our Helical Anchor system could stabilize the bowing wall. Looking at the damage and property would let us know what solution would work best for Matthew's specific situation. Our WaterGuard is a good option for waterproofing a basement. Along with our TripleSafe sump pump and Brightwall, we keep basements dry. As for the windows, we commonly replace basement windows with high-quality products.
If you are experiencing similar problems with your basement, give us a call! We'll be able to stop your leaks and repair your bowing walls.
Did you know that we provide estimates for homeowners when their house is on the market? That's what we did for Jacob in Dillsboro, Indiana. His house was on the market and the potential home buyer wanted an estimate for some foundation issues the inspector found. The front porch was pulling away from the rest of the house.
The buyer wanted to ensure that the property was safe before they bought it. So, they looked to us for a solution! For best results, our estimator determined that helical piers would stabilize the front porch.
In Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the front side of this home was experiencing both lateral shifting and vertical settlement — a serious foundation issue that needed to be addressed before further damage occurred.
To stop the lateral movement, we installed helical tiebacks along the affected wall. These steel anchors are driven into stable soil at an angle and tensioned to pull the wall back into position, providing long-term resistance against inward soil pressure.
To handle the vertical settlement, we also underpinned the foundation with helical piers. These piers extend down to load-bearing soil and permanently stabilize the structure, preventing further sinking or shifting.
With both systems installed, this foundation is now fully reinforced against movement in all directions — and the homeowner can move forward knowing their home is protected for the long haul.
A homeowner in Guilford, IN reached out to us after noticing their sidewalk and patio had begun to settle unevenly. The sinking concrete not only created tripping hazards but also caused cracks to form, taking away from the appearance and safety of their outdoor spaces.
To fix the issue, we used PolyLevel®, our expanding foam system that lifts sunken concrete quickly and precisely. Once the sidewalk and patio were brought back to their proper position, we sealed the cracks and joints with NexusPro®, a flexible, waterproof sealant designed to prevent future damage by keeping moisture out.
Thanks to these repairs, the sidewalk and patio are now level, safe, and ready to be enjoyed again — all without the need for full replacement.
In Aurora, Indiana, a homeowner contacted us after noticing sagging floors and cracks forming in their house. During our inspection, we found the main wooden beam in the basement had weakened from wood rot, leaving the home without proper support. To fix the issue, our team installed three SmartJack® steel posts beneath the beam. These heavy-duty supports immediately stabilized the structure and gave the homeowners peace of mind knowing their foundation was repaired and is secure for years to come.
A homeowner in Guilford, Indiana reached out to us after dealing with water seeping into their basement. The existing setup wasn’t keeping up, and they wanted a reliable system that would protect their home during heavy rains and power outages.
Our crew installed a SuperSump system to provide strong, dependable pumping capacity. To make sure the basement stayed dry even if the power went out, we paired it with an UltraSump battery backup system. We also installed a partial WaterGuard drainage system along the problem wall to capture groundwater and direct it straight to the sump pump.
With the new system in place, the homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their basement is protected against future leaks and flooding.
This Moores Hill, IN homeowner contacted us after finding standing water and damp air in their crawl space. Upon inspection, we discovered that groundwater was seeping in around the edges, creating a humid environment beneath the home. To solve the issue, our team installed drainage piping around the perimeter of the crawl space floor to collect and direct water to a new SmartSump system for proper removal. We then encapsulated the entire space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture and protect against future leaks. The result is a clean, dry crawl space that helps keep the whole home healthier and more comfortable.
In Lawrenceburg, IN, this garage had a 6-foot exposed foundation wall on the backside that needed repairing. Over time, the back wall had started tipping outward from the top, likely due to settling backfill soil beneath the garage slab and the weight of the structure above. To stabilize the wall, our team installed anchor plates on the exposed side and screwed our helical tiebacks underneath the garage slab. This required carefully digging four holes through the slab to secure the tiebacks to stable soil below. Once completed, the system provided permanent support, preventing further outward movement and restoring the integrity of the garage foundation. It was also able to straighten the wall out immediately. The homeowner now has confidence that their wall is fully stabilized and protected.
