We raised the left side of this salon floor in order to eliminate any tripping hazards. It was very important to the shop owner that their employees and patrons have a safe environment to hang out and work in. We raised the left side using our PolyLevel foam jacking method. Our high strength foam is able to lift and stabilize slabs, and only requires us to drill pea-sized holes in the slab in order to inject the foam. After the slab is where we want it, we then cover the holes with a similar matching concrete color. After we leveled out this salon floor, the shop owner was very pleased with how clean and easy the process was.
In Manchester, Ohio, this block foundation was showing serious structural stress — three of the basement walls were bowing inward due to long-term soil pressure and moisture buildup. The homeowner knew the issue needed to be addressed before it got any worse.
To secure the foundation and prevent further movement, we installed our PowerBrace™ system around the perimeter of the basement. These heavy-duty steel beams are engineered to stabilize failing block walls without any outside excavation. Over time, they can even be adjusted to help straighten the walls back toward their original position.
Now, this home’s foundation is fully supported and ready for the long haul — giving the homeowner peace of mind and protecting the value of their property.
Our team was called to a home in West Union, Ohio, after a foundation wall had completely collapsed inward. The homeowner had noticed some minor signs of stress over the years but had no idea the wall was experiencing significant lateral movement behind the scenes. Unfortunately, the structural damage became severe.
Upon inspection, we found that the inward soil pressure had built up to the point of failure, causing the block foundation wall to cave in. Since the damage was beyond the scope of what our systems are designed to correct, we offered to temporarily stabilize the floor joists above the collapsed area. This would have helped prevent further damage and given a masonry contractor time to safely rebuild the wall. The homeowner ultimately decided to delay the temporary stabilization due to financial concerns and a desire to explore multiple repair options.
This inspection is a strong reminder of the importance of early foundation evaluations — especially if you notice stair-step cracking, bowing walls, or other subtle signs of lateral movement. Left unaddressed, these issues can lead to serious structural problems that are much more costly and complex to fix down the line.
If you’ve noticed even small signs of wall movement or cracking, it’s worth having it professionally assessed — for your home’s safety and your own peace of mind.
This home in Winchester, OH, had a settling foundation near their walkout basement door. The foundation had settled so much that the door was almost impossible to open and close, and the settling had also caused cracks to form in their basement. We stabilized the home by underpinning the foundation with 15 helical piers. Our helical piers were installed by first excavating around the outside of the foundation to expose the footing of the sinking home. We then drilled our piers underneath the footers down into stable soil that won't ever move. Our helical piers are shaped like a screw, which allows them to reach deep depths without displacing the soil. We were able to tell how deep the piers went by using pressure gauges. After drilling them down, we then attached our brackets to connect the piers to the footing of the home. This process transfers the weight of the home down into load-bearing strata, which is found deep into the earth. After attaching the brackets, we then attempted to lift the home back up using hydraulics. This process helped close the gaps and cracks in the foundation. To finish the job, we backfilled all the trenches with soil and patched the walk out patio with a fresh layer of concrete. We also took points around the foundation to ensure that the foundation won't ever move again. The homeowners were very impressed with the process, and they were very happy they chose the right foundation repair company for the job.
