Challenge

A homeowner in Forest Park, Ohio, had a finished basement that has always been dry. During a time of heavy rain this year, the homeowner noticed that there was water coming into the basement. The homeowner did their own research to see what to do and what company to call to resolve this problem. The homeowner decided that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System would be the answer, so they clicked on "where to find this in my area" and the rest is history.

Solution

An appointment was scheduled with Donny, a Certified Inspector, at The Basement Doctor. Donny inspected the basement and recommended the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing system to be installed. Donny also recommended the SuperSump PremierSump Pump System is installed.

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented sub-floor piping system that is installed along the foundation walls. The WaterGuard intercepts the water that seeps into the basement. The water will be drained into the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System to be removed from the basement.

The SuperSump PremierSump Pump System has a cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner, and an AirTight Lid with an AirTight Floor Drain. The CleanPump Stand lifts the pump out of the sediment that settles to the bottom of the liner. The SuperLiner will not cave in or crack. The AirTight Lid fits onto the SuperLiner. The AirTight Lid will keep water from evaporating back into the basement and keeps things from falling into the liner. The AirTight Floor Drain on the AirTight Lid will allow water from a plumbing leak to drain into the liner, but will not allow it to flow back up into the basement. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure. This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved. The WaterWatch Alarm gives the homeowner peace of mind that the system is working. Now, when we get another heavy rain, the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System will intercept any water that is seeping into the basement. Then the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System will pump it out of the basement and keep this basement dry and healthy.
